The Owner

I was born in Norristown, Pa when I was 2 years old my parents moved to Chicago where my father worked as a painter for Electro-Motive. Growing up in Chicago in the 60’s was somewhat of a adventure but it was a good experience. After 14 years we moved back to Pennsylvania where I finished school.

It was there that I met Mimi, and 4 years later we got married. I was working as a truck mechanic and she had just got a job with Certainteed Corp. as a secretary and worked her way up to a territorial sales manager. My family was in the trucking business and I began to drive for them part time. I was young and enjoyed driving so I left my job as a mechanic and began driving full time. In 1976 I bought my own truck and started hauling produce up from Florida. I bought another truck and hired a driver and continued in the business for 7 years. I did very well in the trucking industry partly due to the fact that I could maintain my trucks myself keeping costs down.

By 1982 we already had 2 daughters Kristin and Jennifer and being away from home for weeks on end I was ready for a change. I opened a small repair and inspection shop in Phoenixville,Pa. where we also painted cars and trucks. In 1983 our son Brandon was born and a year later I started Phoenix Coach Works.

Kristin works for a pharmaceutical co. she and her husband Mike live nearby and have 2 beautiful girls. Jennifer is a physical therapist, she has a son. Mark and Jenn were recently married and have just had their 1st baby boy together. My son Brandon worked for me in the shop for 2 yrs and now works for a brokerage firm. He and his wife Katie also live nearby with a new baby boy

After 31 years we still enjoy building the highest quality vans and trailers and look forward in continuing our dedication to servicing our customers to the best of our ability. It is our loyal customers that have made Phoenix Coach Works successful for all these years and I want to thank everyone for their support.
